Southwark’s economy is rapidly expanding, according to a new report by the Halifax.

A study reveals that the borough, along with Hackney and Tower Hamlets, has seen economic activity per person rise 87 per cent over the past decade.

The report said that the figures confirmed east London’s position as a viable option for investment.
