Southwark Council has voted to move forward with advertising the investment opportunity for a site on the Aylesbury Estate, despite the recession.
The estate was hit earlier this year by the government’s decision to withdraw a £180 million PFI grant for the estate’s renewal.
But the council has decided to push ahead with the scheme, and will now market a plot of land known as Site 7.
