Developer Lend Lease has unveiled new plans for the regeneration of the Heygate Estate next to the Elephant and Castle.
The plans have been developed following feedback received on a concept masterplan which was consulted on in October last year.
The new proposals show the final illustrative masterplan which will be submitted for approval to Southwark Council later this year.
Lend Lease project director for Elephant and Castle, Rob Deck, said: "We believe the masterplan has addressed many of the comments we have received to date and we very much want the input of local people to help inform the final stage of the design development prior to our submission of an outline planning application in the coming months.”
The outline masterplan for the Heygate Estate will deliver around 2,500 homes of varying size, a new and diverse shopping experience, restaurants and places to eat, drink and socialise plus new offices, community and cultural space and leisure facilities.
