Developer Lend Lease has submitted a planning application for a tower block of 284 homes on the front half of the former leisure centre at Elephant and Castle.
Designed by architecture firm Squire and Partners, the 37-storey tower will have a resident's roof garden and shops on the ground floor, plus restaurants and business space.
Because the Lend Lease tower is helping to fund a new swimming pool and other facilities, there is no affordable housing in the proposed development.
