More than 100 guests, including current partners and potential investors, attended the launch of the ninth edition of Southwark magazine on Wednesday 26 September.
Those attending the event, at Southwark Council’s offices in Tooley Street, heard that the borough is awash with new developments and poised for much more.
In an introduction to the magazine, Peter John, council leader, wrote: “From the growing artistic community finding a home in Peckham to the exciting plans for development all along Blackfriars Road, there are signs of change in the borough.
“Southwark is confidently defining its place in London as the centre of growth and prosperity; where all are welcomed and supported through the regeneration process.
“Above all there is a “buzz” about Southwark: recognition that it is the most exciting place to live, work and do business. It is London in 2012.”
The magazine, which is accompanied by a website and email news bulletin service, includes information on key projects, development sites and completed projects, and is published by regeneration specialist 3Fox International.
Southwark is distributed to a targeted database of local and national property professionals, investment firms, local authorities, local enterprise partnerships and other regeneration bodies.
