Plans lodged for 1000-plus homes at Surrey Quays

Sellar Design & Development and Investec Private Bank have submitted an application for a 1.5 million sq feet residential-led development at Surrey Quays.

The proposals for the site, which is adjacent to British Land and Barratt Homes’ 40-acre Canada Water project, would see the demolition of all current buildings on the Surrey Quays Road site and the construction of five new buildings ranging from five to 40 storeys, website CoStar reported.

It said that as well as “up to 1,046 homes”, the plans also included a 132,491 sq feett retail store, 30,138 sq feet of office space, a cinema, and a health centre.
