A bid for a judicial review of British Land's proposed 110,000 sq feet extension to Surrey Quays Shopping Centre has been rejected by the Court of Appeal.

Local resident Jerry Hewitt had argued that an environmental assessment had been required ahead of last year's aproval for the £30 million project at the Canada Water centre, Property Week reported.

The extension will see 18 shops and restaurants, four kiosks and space for outside dining added to the existing buildings.
