Developer Lend Lease has appointed housing association London & Quadrant (L&Q) as its affordable partner for the Trafalgar Place element of the £1.5 billion transformation of Elephant and Castle's Heygate Estate.
L&Q will provide a total of 54 affordable homes as part of the scheme - the first phase of the Heygate Estate regeneration, backed by a £780,000 contribution from London Mayor Boris Johnson, property website CoStar reported.
Jerome Geoghegan, L&Q’s group director for development and sales, said the association currently had more than 3,000 homes either in management or under construction in Southwark.
