Housebuilder buys Borough development site

Crest Nicholson has bought a Borough High Street development site that won planning permission for residential redevelopment just weeks ago, it has emerged.

The housebuilder paid current owner Caraeno £29.3 million for Brandon House, at 180 Borough High Street, Property Week reported.

Southwark Magazine reported in September that Southwark Council’s development control committee had approved proposals for the residential-led redevelopment of the site with a scheme featuring 96 homes and 4,275 sq metres of office and retail space.
