Galliard Homes, Acorn Property Group and Otterlo London have been chosen in consortium by the Corporation of Trinity House, owners of the estate, to redevelop an urban block behind Borough High Street.
A residential scheme is planned at the 21,500sq m site on Harper Road, which was formerly a post sorting office.
Design proposals are being drawn up by architect Haworth Tompkins, which has been appointed to draw up plans for an apartment scheme and mews houses.
Acorn and Otterlo London are currently managing the delivery and sale of the development, while Galliard Construction will be the contractor for the scheme.
An estimated completion date is set for 2017.
