Southwark was the first magazine the company ever published, with the first edition released in 2004, featuring news on regeneration and development in the London borough.

During the following decade, the boroughs skyline has changed drastically, not least because of the completion of Renzo Pianos The Shard project at London Bridge.  Some of the capitals major regeneration projects can be found in the borough, such as the overhaul of the Aylesbury estate and the redevelopment of the Elephant and Castle. The new edition of Southwark features all the latest on the boroughs many schemes.

Feature articles include a look at Southwarks hotels, such as the luxury offers of the Mondrian London and the Shangri-La at The Shard. Sport and leisure is another focus, with news on the council’s investment in sport and leisure facilities and its free gym and swim scheme for residents. Homegrown sporting legends Rio Ferdinand and David Haye also feature.

Leader of Southwark Council, Peter John, said: “Southwark is now recognised as the most exciting and vibrant quarter of central London. Regeneration also leads to investment in community facilities, creating a fairer future for all.
