A summer fete, hosted by the Blue Bermondsey Business Improvement District (BID) and Grosvenor Britain & Ireland takes place at The Biscuit Factory office and studio development in Bermondsey next month.
The fete, on 6 September, will feature live music and will mark the finale of the Bermondsey Folk Festival, as well as a petting farm, a coconut shy, swing boats and a helter-skelter.
The event is part of the BID’s drive to encourage more community engagement in the district and to promote businesses based at The Biscuit Factory.
The BID and Grosvenor Britain & Ireland launched a survey earlier this year to find out what residents like and dislike about the area and what people would like to see more of.
"We've already surpassed one degree of global warming," said Kristen Buida, manager of the London Climate Change Partnership.
