Work on the redevelopment of Southwark Town Hall by Alumno Developments is gathering pace.
Theatre Peckham at the back of the site has been demolished and work on a larger theatre to replace it has begun. The former town hall building is being stripped out and the structural frame to extend it is going up.
The project will include 155 student rooms, a cafe and gallery space and artists' studios.
The scheme is scheduled for completion by summer 2016.
