Southwark will see three new residential developments built by 2017.
Housebuilder Crest Nicholson has announced that Valentine Place, Snowsfields Yard and Brandon House will bring more than 150 homes to the borough, which it says will provide a mix of luxury and affordable properties.
Properties on Valentine Place are already on sale, with first completion expected by summer 2016. Located near Blackfriars Road, it will include 42 private properties surrounding an internal landscaped courtyard, 19 homes which it says will be affordable and 7,315sq m of commercial space.
Snowsfields Yard, 505 metres from The Shard, will launch in February 2016 and offer 28 residential units with private outside space and access to a communal roof terrace, three commercial units targeted at SMEs, nine affordable homes and a community centre.
Located opposite Borough Underground station, Brandon House, to launch in summer 2016, will include 77 residential properties, 22 affordable homes and 4,090sq m of commercial space.
“SE1 offers a range of cultural and gastronomic delights and many large businesses are now based in the region,” said Julia Reynolds, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson’s London division.
She added: “The new developments will help to bring even more people into the area, contributing to the local economy by spending in local shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.
“In addition, each development will feature commercial space, bringing much-needed units to the market for local businesses.”
